Severe Weather Closure Of All Dothan Housing Offices

Due to the expected severe weather conditions, Dothan Housing offices will close at 4:00 PM today, September 25, 2024, and transition to virtual operations on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Normal operations will resume on Monday, September 30, 2024. Our primary concern is your safety, and we urge you to take necessary precautions during the adverse weather. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Rest assured, we remain available virtually to provide any assistance you may require during this period. Thank you for your understanding.

Houston County VOAD is opening two safe havens in the Dothan area for residents to shelter from the hurricane.

  • Westgate Church of Christ, 619 Westgate Parkway, Dothan, will open at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25.
  • The Memphis Baptist Church, 4595 Eddins Road, Dothan, will be open from 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, to 8:00 a.m. Friday, September 27.

 

The Houston County VOAD asks anyone seeking shelter at the Safe Havens to bring blankets, pillows, food, toiletries, and other personal items. Pets are not allowed inside the Safe Havens.
