Community Safety Alert
Reporting Acts of Animal Cruelty and Community Crimes
Community safety and community wellness are imperative at Dothan Housing, and our team is committed to training in best practices and procedures to promote the safety and well-being of our residents and clients. We appreciate the Community Safety Management and Asset Management teams for responding quickly and requesting a wellness check today, at Samuel P. Crawford Village, after a resident’s tip! Due to their quick action, local law enforcement was able to mitigate acts of animal cruelty that were taking place inside the unit.
We encourage residents to follow our “See Something, Say Something” safety campaign to help deter criminal activity that includes but is not limited to theft, assault, gun violence, and animal cruelty. To report a tip anonymously, please use our anonymous tip link https://www.dothanhousing.org/anonymoustips or call the office of the community safety manager, Jason Miller, at 334-589-0758. If you witness a crime or in an emergency, please call 911.
For more information on our avenues and security measures to deter community crime, please get in touch with the Communications Coordinator, Leah Gunn, at 334-589-3357.
