Dothan Housing Volunteers with DCS to Deliver Teacher Appreciation Gifts
Dothan, Ala.— Dothan Housing (DH), a public housing authority (PHA), was delighted to volunteer with Dothan City Schools to help deliver Teacher Appreciation gifts to Girard Elementary School and Girard Intermediate School. Items were picked up from DCS and transported by Chief Housing Officer Dr. Tamara Berry-Andrews, Resident Services Manager Samiyah Craddock, Strategic Advisor Justise Black, and Communications Coordinator Leah Gunn.
“We believe in supporting our local education system and engaging with the educators within our community,” says Dr. Berry-Andrews. “The schools and teachers that influence the daily lives of our residents’ children are at the top of the list.”
Team members, such as Ms. Craddock, are excited about “adopting” schools such as Girard Elementary and Girard Intermediate as it presents an opportunity to support the community and residential families on a greater level. In addition to the DCS gifts, DH donated PPE gear, such as hand sanitizer and masks, and writing utensils to each school.
