Dothan Housing Commissioner Jeff Williams Hosts New SmartBank® Location Grand Opening
Dothan, Ala.— Dothan Housing (DH) team members proudly attended the Grand Opening of the newest SmartBank® location to support DH Commissioner Jeff Williams, the bank’s Regional Vice President. Williams has been an open advocate for affordable housing services as Vice Chairman of the Board.
“It’s been exciting to witness Vice Chairman Williams’ success with SmartBank®,” says DH COO Dr. Michael C. Threatt. “The new location in the downtown area is astounding.”
According to HUD, Board Members such as Vice Chairman Jeff Williams serve agencies such as Dothan Housing to ensure that the organization’s mission and purpose is being accomplished and ensure that decent, safe, and sanitary housing is provided to the residents. Additionally, they ensure that every member fully understands their role and responsibilities and follows the principles of nonprofit corporation law: duties of care, loyalty, and obedience.
SmartBank® has continued to offer financial literacy classes to residents and team members as well as support in helping residents and clients of DH strive towards economic freedom and family self-sufficiency (FSS). DH welcomes the opportunity to celebrate the independent accomplishments of our staff, stakeholders, and Board members.
