FREE Spring Break Camp for Girls Ages 5-10
Dothan Housing Partners with Girl's Inc® to Provide Free Camp for Young Girls
Dothan, Ala.— Dothan Housing (DH) is proud to collaborate with Girls Inc.® to provide a free camp during spring break for young girls. The camp will take place March 27-31, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day at the Our Community Housing and Enrichment Center (OCHEC) located at 1001 Montana Street, Dothan, AL 36303. Girls Inc.® team members, and DH’s Resident Services Team will provide activities that promote learning and play for all! Both entities are excited to pour into Camp Goers and ensure a fun and memorable experience for every participating young girl.
Community partnerships such as this are an excellent way for Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) to utilize existing, proven services as well as the expertise of historically reputable agencies like Girls Inc.®. The relationship between Dothan Housing and the Dothan branch of Girls Inc. goes back to 1969 when the first meetings for the then-named “Girls Club” occurred in the afternoon once a week in Henry Green Apartments with 6-10 members.
