Dothan Housing Requests Community Support for Donations in Preparation for Visit to Selma
Dothan, Ala.— Dothan Housing (DH) is now accepting donations and supplies to assist in restoration efforts for Selma, Al, and the Selma Housing Authority (SHA). Tornadic activity devastated the historic area and additional communities on January 12, 2023. As community leaders commit to rebuilding, the local housing authority is instrumental in the process-items collected by Dothan Housing to families and clean-up crews to assist in the restoration of the community.
Needed items include but are not limited to cleaning supplies, sanitary items, baby formula, diapers, work gloves, tarps, bedding, yard tools, water, coats and jackets, toothbrushes and toothpaste, paper towels, toilet paper, and feminine hygiene products. DH will accept all donations during regular business hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (closed for lunch from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm) at the new Dothan Housing administrative office, the Our Community Housing and Enrichment Center (OCHEC) located at 1001 Montana Street Dothan, AL 36303. The housing agency will collect items until Friday, February 24, 2023.
