CEO Samuel P. Crawford Selects Transformational Leader as new COO
Dothan Housing’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO), Dr. Michael C. Threatt is a proven transformational leader that has over 15 years of experience working for several public housing authorities (PHAs) in various roles, including executive leadership. He created the “Housing Authority of Tomorrow” model that focuses on utilizing best and evidenced-based practices to increase productivity and financial savings through a performance-oriented leadership approach. Dr. Threatt’s proven track record reflects the successful and innovative administration of affordable housing programs.
In his current role as COO of Dothan Housing, Dr. Threatt is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Dothan Housing. He is responsible for strategic planning and the accountability for the implementation of policies and procedures, along with the analysis of intelligence data to support the long-term sustainability of Dothan Housing.
Dr. Threatt earned his doctorate in public administration (DPA) at West Chester University Pennsylvania. Dr. Threatt received his master’s degree in criminal justice administration from the University of South Florida, and his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
