This year’s panel discussions include the below topics.

• Using CDBG & HOME Funding for Affordable Housing Development
• Housing Trust Fund, Homelessness, & Source of Income (SOI)
• The Need for Special Purpose Vouchers in the Wiregrass Metro Area
• Intentional Careers in Affordable Housing through Public Housing Internships

An eviction mock trial will also occur during the lunch portion of the symposium facilitated by Legal Services of Alabama Attorney Rachel Greczyn and Attorney Sarah Taggert of the Law office of Sarah Taggert, P.C.!

The day of affordable housing will end with a fundraising event at the Wiregrass Museum of Art, the Casino Royale! The fundraiser is geared towards raising money for the children of Dothan Housing families to participate in youth sports camps and after-school programs. This annual charity event will begin at 5:30 pm and last until 9:00 pm with a donation for entry requirement.
