CHO of Dothan Housing Selected for National Conference Presentation
2024 NLHA Mid-Year Membership Meeting Taps Dr. Tamara Berry-Andrews
Dothan, AL January 30, 2024 — Dr. Tamara Berry-Andrews, Chief Housing Officer for Dothan Housing (DH), has been selected to present at the 2024 National Leased Housing Association (NLHA) Mid-Year Membership Meeting in Palm Springs, CA. The meeting will take place February 7-9, 2024.
Dr. Berry-Andrews will be a part of a workshop titled “Preserving Tenancies/Stability with Emergency Housing Vouchers.” The workshop will focus on how housing providers can use Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs) to help tenants stay in their homes and avoid eviction.
“I am honored to be selected to present at the NLHA Mid-Year Membership Meeting,” said Dr. Berry-Andrews. “Emergency Housing Vouchers are a critical tool to help us prevent homelessness and stabilize communities. I am excited to share my experience and insights with other housing professionals from across the country.”
Dr. Berry-Andrews has been a housing professional for over 15 years. She has extensive experience in affordable housing, housing stock conversions, and community development. She serves on the Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Committee for the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO).
The NLHA Mid-Year Membership Meeting is an annual event that gathers housing professionals nationwide to discuss the latest trends and challenges in the affordable housing industry. The meeting will feature a variety of workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities.
